About

This website, funded and maintained by Paul Moxon, is a resource for Vandercook proof press operators. (See Acknowledgments below.) It also aspires to provide information on other brands of flat bed cylinder proof presses. While the popularity and value of proof presses has risen in the last few years, little regard has been given to the history and care of these aging, precision-built machines. In order to rectify this the site features an index of models (with images and specs), a manufacturing timeline, serial number tables, a model features comparison chart, brief historical articles, an annotated bibliography and a blog where registered members can submit posts and comments.
