Vandercook Proof Presses Brochure

I found this brochure when I bought my Vandercook 32-28. I don’t have the date so maybe Fritz can help, enjoy.

Brochures usually were undated, while catalogs had an effective date for prices stated on the cover. We may not be able to precisely date it, but the press in the middle is a 219 new style, its five variants were made between 1948 and 1959.

The 32-28 was made between 1948-53 and its variant the 32-28E from 1949 to 1959
To the right of the 219 is an 05 made between 1949-58
To the left of the 219 is c.1950s No. 14

Behind the press is a large photo of the interior of the North Kilpatrick Ave. production plant (1928-1954). The earliest catalog I have showing this photo is dated October 15, 1941. Available on the Bibliography page.

All I have to add is that this is the downtown Chicago display room–we have several other photos of the same setup taken maybe the same day.
