For many years ATF sold small Vandercooks such as the No. 3, which would fit into a crate this size. Then again, maybe this press was bound for Port Elizabeth, South Africa.</description>

		<description>Apparently. The model/serial number cards shows that Vandercook exported presses to Australia, Canada, Great Britain, and continental Europe through several firms. During this timeframe Deberny et Peignot, the famous typefoundry, was the dealer for France.</description>
