Adjusting Form Rollers without Gauge

My Uni I came to me without a roller setting gauge. Is it possible to get one, and if so, how? If (as I suspect) they’re vanishingly rare, can you recommend method for setting the height of the form rollovers without one?

Hacker Plate Gauge

I know that Hacker Mfg. was acquired by Vandercook, but this gauge appears to pre-date that merger. Does anyone have any information on Hacker gauges from this era?
