I'm 48 years old, single, and live in Milford, New Jersey. I'm a cabinetmaker by trade and for two years an amatuer letterpress printer. I love books and traditional processes; history and antiques; and working with my hands creating things. I'm self-taught and have been enjoying learning more and more as time goes on.
I've put together a rather complete shop which is in what others quaintly call their living room. Thus the name of my press: Front Room Press. I use handset type and antique cuts. I currently have three presses, two of which are restored and in use. My main press is a C&P 10x15 made in 1893. I also have a C&P galley proof press of the same vintage. I have a Vandercook Model 17 that is awaiting restoration.
I have a web page with general and some historical information at http://frontroompress.com but my main site is my blog at http://frontroompress.blogspot.com. That is where I try and record my successes and failures, aquisitions and mergers, and just what is going on with me and letterpress printing.
