Grafix presses were made circa 1962–1970 by Haas & Kellhofer Maschinenfabrik, Singen-Hohentwiel, Germany. Initially, the company was contracted to build presses for FAG, which then did not have a factory. The agreement ended when FAG moved press production in-house to their new plant in Avenches, Switzerland. Subsequently, Haas & Kellhofer created their own branded machines in five sizes, most of which had either a fixed or adjustable bed or a power carriage.
The GX 4 AN was one of the largest, non-custom proof presses ever made and is comparable to the German-made Korrex Hamburg Kraft (power carriage press).
