I have noticed a problem with my UNI III Power slowing down and not running to the end of the bed after 40 or so impressions. I thought it might be an electrical problem, but went through all the electrical troubleshooting I could, and no joy.
So I took a look at the clutch. It was pretty heavily set, and yet the motor was spinning and the carriage didn’t complete its run. I loosened the clutch, and (putting a rag underneath) I ran some mineral spirits through the clutch plates to clean them, as they looked oily and gunky. Once they had time to dry out, I reset them and the press is running happy as is the operator. I just thought I’d leave a note here as a guide to future solution seekers.
