I am wondering what these two screw adjustments are for: The first is the square assembly near the inking plate with three screws, but then behind it recessed into the bed is a hex screw. I can’t find reference in the manual to them, but I could easily be missing it.
Hi Paul, the ink plate is just a thin sheet of metal screwed to the bed back of the ink drum and distributor on my machine. There’s nothing under it. Would the ink fountain be something that attached to that square mechanism? In other words, I have no ink fountain or if I do, have never used it or identified where it is.
I think this is a support for the automatic ink feed that sits behind the ink fountain. Remove the ink plate and see what’s there.
