Hi, my SP 15 came with an ink monitor and I don’t know if it works. I wanted to know if it’s worth hooking it up or getting it fixed for better inking. I also wanted to know what the box inside the cabinet is for. Thanks.

The ink monitor was needed when doing repro proofs for the process camera and film for platemaking, where exact consistent inking was required from worker to worker and shift to shift. I don’t see any need for it for any other use today.
