I’m not sure of the actual part name. See photo. It’s a bracket that goes on the bar that raises or lowers the rollers. I’m wondering if it should be loose or fixed? I thought there was a screw holding it on, but it’s a rivet of some kind, so I cannot tighten it. But maybe this is how it is supposed to be?
Thanks to all who responded. We are content that some of the brackets are loose. But there is a consequence: when the rollers are removed and replaced, there is a chance that the bracket can slip down under the roller raising device, instead of being on top, as it should. Took me awhile to figure this out the first time it happened. Just a learning curve on a new press!
The bracket is part X-16837. It’s only function is to lift the rollers and it sits on the roller bracket. I don’t think that it makes any difference if they are loose.
I don’t think that there’s a name for this bracket. They’re not supposed to be loose, but most are. The easiest thing to do is squeeze a bead of Loctite behind the bend to prevent them from turning.
