Are all Vandercooks’ carriages interchangable with each other?
The one I was hoping to get running is completely unrepairable being exposed to salty winds in an old building for about 20yrs.
So I am considering looking for another carriage for it with or without automatic inking rollers and wondered if any model would be an appropriate replacement assuming I can find one in a reasonable comdition and cut down on transportation costs.

Essentially no carriages are interchangeable between models. A No. 3 and No. 4 may fit one another if the inking assembly was not in place. A British-built No. 4 should fit a Chicago-built No. 4.
