I’m giving my No. 4 bottom frame assembly the spa treatment and I’m missing the Nyliner Bearing Retainers. Does anybody have any for sale or a notable workaround? Thanks, Matthew

Matt: yes, that’s how Challenge meant for Nyliners to be installed on the M series. The retainer clips (snap rings) are an inexpensive hardware store item. However, it’s easier to install them with snap ring pliers.
You should also have a shaft collar on the front form roller that minimizes lateral play. Position it approximately 0.010″ from the Nyliner/bearing block.
I have a somewhat
related question. Is it okay to install the Nyliners so they are on the inside of the roller blocks? That way you don’t need the retaining clips on the outside, some of which I have lost. It seems to work, not sure if I am causing other problems. This is for a Challenge MP15, which is mostly a clone of the Vandercook SP15.

These are also in stock at NA Graphics.
I have a pair for you. But you could make them out of sheet metal. Yo could also use one nyliner on each shaft with a 0.6875″ long.
