As Fritz Klinke informed me a few years ago, he hasn’t got any more original blades left and suggested me to make one myself. Which I did. I took the wash up unit apart and put the blade with its metal holder on a flat surface. With the aid of a thin flat screwdriver, I prised open the metal holder, ever so slightly. Go carefully as it’s welded in a few places. With pliers I managed to pull the blade out. Cut myself a new blade from 1 mm polyester sheet that I bought in the Art Supply store and inserted that in the slot. Gently squeezed everything together again and presto, it works!

We also have a Heidelberg KS Cylinder press, the wash up blade for this press works great on our Universal III.

You need to contact NA Graphics about this. They can’t list every Vandercook part in stock, but they are THE source.
