On my Model 4 I sometimes have to print type that is higher than .918 inches. This means setting the rollers higher, and I do it somewhat by trial and error. But I would like to know precisely: how much of a clockwise turn of the adjusting screws gives say .05 inches or 1 mm? – Chip Coakley
Chip, I’m sorry to say that trial and error applies here too. I typically do a 1/8 or 1/4 turn. I trust that you know it is best to make slight turns to the adjusting screws front and back on one side to keep the bearing bars parallel to the frame, then adjust the opposite side front and back. Too great of turns on one screw will cause the other screw to rise.
