Hello Vanderblog Friends, I’m hoping someone can help me solve a problem I’ve been having with ink being where it’s not supposed to be. The piece I’m printing has two lines on which I’m getting flecks of errant ink. The problem occurs no matter how much ink I have on the rollers, and the ink […]

Universal I Hand and Door Width Requirement
What do you think is the narrowest space that a Uni I could fit through without taking the press apart? I am looking for a house and this question came up. We like one house with a walkout basement but the doorway is only 31″ wide. Thanks for your input!
MoreInk Migration Problem
The research and development division of NA Graphics has taken up the challenge of figuring out why ink migrates from one side to the other on Vandercook inking assemblies. To that end, we are working in conjunction with Dave Seat, who is in residence this week in our main research facility here in Silverton, to […]

I have used an SP-15 and enjoyed it. I would like to get my own press. However, I’m overwhelmed by the number of types of Vandercook presses available. I would like a self-inking model. Which models could people suggest? My space is not really limited.
MoreRubber feet pads
In the Vandercook sp-15 manual it states the press should be set on synthetic rubber pads – with packing in order to correct any unevenness. Does anyone use these pads, if so what are they like – their depth for example – I can envisage something like a mouse mat. John Christopher
MoreVandercook inking system diagram
I have just done a very quick drawing of the inking system for my Vandercook 215/4. This is for my upcoming book, “Print It Yourself” which is to be published late next year by F&W Publications. The diagram is a very simplified attempt to visually explain (along with a verbal explanation) how the ink gets […]
